STUDENT’S THREAT OF HARM TO SELF
During Regular School Hours:
Parents, students or community members can contact any HASD school building or district administrative offices to report information they have about a student who has made threats of harming himself/herself. Appropriate district personnel will follow up with the student and family and take appropriate action.

After Regular School Hours:
If the threat is verified and immediate - call 911. Once connected with the 911 Center, the caller will be asked a series of questions and the appropriate police department will be contacted by 911 to complete a safety check.
If a parent feels the need to discuss his/her concern or is unsure or has questions, he/she should contact UPMC Altoona Behavioral Health Crisis Center at 889-2141.
