Apples Foreign Language Festival
Each year students have the opportunity to participate in the Apples Foreign Language Festival which is held in the spring.  It is usually held on a Saturday in March or  April at Indiana University of Pennsylvania or University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.  Students have the opportunity to compete in academic and non-academic categories.  In the academic categories students participate in their level of study.  Academic categories include reading, writing, listening, and speaking.  There is also poetry recitation.  The non-academic categories include singing, instrumental, dance, art--reproduction or original, web page design, T-shirt design, etc.  If this sounds interesting to you, listen for details during class.   We have had many students participate in the past.  First, second, and third place winners are awarded ribbons.  Level 4 participants can compete for the overall French award. This is a fun and educational day.  You have the opportunity to check out the campus and meet new friends!!
