Public Hearing
The HASD Board of Directors, pursuant to Section 780 of the Pa. Public School Code of 1949, as amended, will hold a public hearing to present information as well as to receive and consider comments from the public on the issue/question of whether the Allegheny 1 Elementary School should be permanently closed or other options should be explored. The public hearing will be February 15, 2012 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at the senior high school.

TIME CHANGE
The times of the varsity girls' basketball make-up game with Ambridge on Tuesday, February 7 have changed. New start times are JV at 4:30 and varsity 6:00PM.

HARP presents The Importance of Being Earnest...March 1, 2 and 3rd at the Hollidaysburg Area Senior High Auditorium. Showtimes are 7:30.

ATTENTION SPRING SPORTS ATHLETES:
Spring Sports Physicals will be given on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Senior High- report to the Gym Lobby. Pick up your form now and return it to the school nurse or athletic trainer by February 1st. Have your blood pressure checked by the nurse when you turn in your form. There will be no make-up date for physicals. Private physicals must be dated after June 1, 2011 and are due by March 2. Practices begin for Spring Sports on March 5, 2012

Wrestling Match Postponed
The junior high wrestling match on January 26th with State College has been postponed by State College. The match has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 14 at 4:00PM.

The Varsity girls' basketball game with Mifflin County has been moved from January 27 to February 6 at Mifflin County. Game times 6:00 / 7:00PM.

The junior high (9th grade) girls' basketball game at home with Central Mountain on January 23 at 3:30 will be played in the SENIOR HIGH GYM.

Kindergarten and First Grade Registration 2012- 2013 School Year

Children who are 5 years old as of September 1, 2012, are eligible for kindergarten. Children who are 6 years old as of September 1, 2012, are eligible for first grade. Please call the appropriate school for information and an appointment. Students enrolled in kindergarten in the HASD do not need to register for first grade.
