Anticipated Teaching Vacancies for the 2012-2013 School Year:
Full time Physics Teacher opening starting with the 2012-2013 school year. Requires Physics teaching certificate from the PA Dept. of Education and all other requirements as stated in the job description. Prefer dual certification in both Physics and Math. Application materials may be obtained at our Jackson Street Office, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. by calling 814-695-5585, or by downloading below. All requested materials must be received to be considered for employment (see items 1-9 under Employment). All applicants should submit: 1) PA Standard Teaching Application, 2) Praxis test scores, 3) at least three letters of recommendation, 4) official college grade transcripts from all degrees, 5) a copy of PA teaching certificate when received, 6) a resume, 7) criminal history clearance, 8) child abuse clearance, and 9) FBI clearance. Day-to-Day Subs all Subject Areas 2011-2012 School Year 7-26-11 Qualifications are as follows: Certificate from PA Dept. of Education (www.education.state.pa.us) in appropriate subject area; academic excellence as evidenced by undergraduate and/or graduate grade transcripts; commendable or exemplary recommendations from student teaching and/or regular teaching experience; ability to understand and implement student performance standards and related assessment procedures; demonstrated understanding of individualized instruction, curriculum integration, and inclusionary practices; successful interview with Administrator(s); all clearances required for school district employment; and all other requirements as stated in the job description. All requested materials must be received to be considered for employment (see items 1-8 under Employment). Our current rate for day-to-day teaching subs is $80/day.
