  Regular full-time opening for Guidance Counselor starting the 15/16 school year.  Requires Elementary and Secondary School Counselor (PreK-12) certificate from PA Dept. of Ed. and all other qualifications listed on our website.   • SCHOOL RESOURCE PROFESSIONAL FOR SECURITY

 HASD is seeking individuals to work part-time to provide security services throughout the school district. Must have successfully completed PA act 120 or PA State Police Academy or other law enforcement academy; must possess or be eligible for an act PA 235 waiver; must be familiar with PA law; must be a PA certified first responder or greater; must have or be able to complete incident command 100 for school, 700, 300, 400 and all other training as prescribed by district.  Requires minimum of 10 year’s experience as a law enforcement officer.  Prefer experience working with youth and community; prefer security science background and crime prevention experience; $18/hour.  Typical workday 7:30 AM to 3 PM, 2-4 days per week during school year.  Applicants must meet all state and local requirements as listed in the job description and have FBI, criminal history, and child abuse clearances for school district employment.  Interested parties must submit a resume listing experience and a general employment application to the HR Office by 7/6/15.  Applications may be obtained by downloading from our website below or by calling 814-695-5585.

     
            

     
    •  Day to day substitutes - Rate of pay for paraprofessionals is $9.25/hr and $85 per day for teachers.  Submit all application materials under downloads for either support staff or teachers as listed below.
       
      Anyone who holds a Bachelor's degree and meets all of the required criminal background clearances and job description requirements can be employed as a day-to-day substitute teacher and receive the salary of $85 per day.  Working hours are flexible - subs decide if they can accept assignments and can specify a preference for building location.  Hollidaysburg Area School District hires teacher subs through the Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8 Training Program.  Click the link to get more information on the program.

    •  Payroll Secretary 

    Twelve-month position available immediately.  Prefer Associate Degree in Business or a related field; payroll experience required.  Applicants must have computer skills including spreadsheets, word processing and analytical ability.  Must meet all other qualifications as listed in the job description including child abuse, criminal history, and FBI clearances.  Starting salary $14.27/hr. with full benefits after 90 days; salary increase of .50 per year for the 1st 3 years plus negotiated increase.

    • Substitute Special Ed Paraprofessionals

    • Support Staff Substitutes Secretary/Paraprofessional, and Custodian. 

     

     

    Secretarial substitutes should have computer skills with Microsoft Office Software; Paraprofessionals must be willing to work with specials needs students and assist with activities of daily living; Custodians should have experience with cleaning products. Substitutes are called as needed - hours are flexible. The current rate of pay for support staff substitutes is $9.25/hr.  We also have openings for substitutes to work in the cafeteria (flexible work hours) at the rate of $8.25/hr.  Complete and return application materials below.
