Donna Messner joined the Hollidaysburg Area School District as the Director of Special Education in July of 2008. Prior to that time, she served as a Special Education Supervisor for four years and as a Special Education Teacher for 21 years in the Altoona Area School District. Additionally, Ms. Messner taught in the Upper Merion School District.
Donna is currently completing course work for a Doctorate Degree in Administration and Leadership at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Donna received her Supervisory Certificate for Special Education and a Master’s Degree in Education from Saint Francis University. Undergraduate work includes a dual degree in Special Education and Elementary Education from the Pennsylvania State University.
